Edward. P. Jenks began his career working as an Assistant
District Attorney in Nassau County in 1982 and served
approximately five years in that position trying all level
misdemeanors and felonies. In 1987, Mr. Jenks opened his
practice concentrating on federal and state criminal defense
matters. He has tried the most complex of criminal matters – including homicides and federal white collar and criminal drug cases. Many of these cases were high profile and received media coverage. For Example, Mr. Jenks represented a police officer defendant in the Abna Louima prosecution, he represented a police officer charged with civil rights violations out of the Mollen Commission and won him an acquittal in two separate trials.
He most recently represented the former Roslyn High School Superintendent charged with Grand Larceny. He has also represented the largest Marijuana dealer in the history of Wisconsin. He has been called “prominent” by the New York Times and has been quoted several hundred times in his cases as well as an expert in magazines – The New York Times, The New York Post, Daily News, Newsday, The Village Voice, Smart Money and has appeared on television many times. He recently received a preeminent rating of AV 5.0 out of 5.0 from Martindale.com. a peer review rating service. He is no stranger to the criminal courts and has handled over 2,000 criminal matters and is know by virtually all of the judges and their staff personnel.
